This one is a Makely Reunion taken in the teens or twenties, my grandmother Another Makely Reunion-Later. Ethel has dark hair and is an adult sitting on the porch floor center. behind the little girl on the stairs is her son, my uncle Richard Bean. My grandfather Berten B Bean is seated fourth from the left , middle row.
Ellis & Beth Karr. Ellis Karr is the son of Charles Karr and his first wife who was a McHenry. Ellis and Beth Karr had no children and lived on Charles Karrs farm and later bought it from him. They grew potatoes and raised chickens. My father, Berten C Bean, told of how his Aunt Beth would candle the eggs and pack them up in crates to be taken on the train to New York City. He also told of the wonderful chicken and golden gravy that Aunt Beth would make from the old chickens that no longer laid eggs.
Elmer E. Ferry. This one also from Ella Makely Karr , it is a stamp about two inches by one and a half inches with perforated edges and glue still on the back.It says Elmer E Ferry Assemblyman for Allegany County

Shortie & Horses. “Shortie” which I was told was a nickname of a very tall Karr, Grandma W and Mabel and then the horses are named as follows Duke , Charlie, Dick, And Husky.

Will & Maggie Makely. Will age 42; Maggie age 42; Jessie age 12; Clinton age 10; taken in 1899; These are Ethel’s Makely, Aunt and Uncle and Cousins; you will find Clinton Makely in a previous picture riding his horse with his Karr cousin.
